Updates on my son Chase

My son is almost fully recovered from his Thrush. He still has a slightly froggy voice but is back to giggling. His tongue is no longer white but he still has bumps inside his mouth. Hopefully once he gets better he will stay better! On a even better note, May 26th Chase Landyn Walker will officially be 5 months old. He was born December 26, 2011 at 2:20pm. He was born a whopping 10 pounds and 3 ounces in weight and 21 inches in length. It feels like just yesterday that I was pregnant. I have lost all but ten pounds of my pregnancy weight. I had gained 60 pounds while pregnant. So it was quite a triumph to stand on the scale and to see I only have 10 more pounds to lose. :)

Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil Review

I had the luxury of recently trying Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil. This product can be found at: (http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/virgin_coconut_oil.htm) I actually used this in my hair. I just recently had my hair colored and it's been a bit dry. I read online that coconut oil is supposed to be great for dry scalps, hair growth, and keeping hair shiny and full of life. I applied it and was delighted to find that there was no greasy feel to it. I would massage it into my hair after towel drying my hair and would not rinse it out. It's used like any hot oil treatment for hair care. The awesome thing about Coconut Oil is that it has so many uses; it can be used as a cooking oil (instead of vegetable oil or butter) , as hair oil (heat over stove before using), as a skin moisturizing oil, to stop or help prevent tooth decay, to aid in controlling blood sugar, and many other things. I felt like I had a magic bottle of I can do anything oil. I used it for my hair, I used it to bake brownies, and I rubbed some on my forehead to help relieve a stress related headache I had. I really have nothing negative to say about this product. I highly recommend it to others.

Hubby & I Love Our Son

Today my husband and I went and got tattoos dedicated to our son. Our son is currently recovering from Bronchitis and Thrush. It was found that he has a weak immune system and we must monitor his health continuously to make sure he doesn't get sick, since he's more susceptible to illnesses. We love our son and I don't know what we'd do without him. He is our little miracle baby. I hope his health will approve over time. Happy 5 months baby boy.

My Poor Little Boy

Currently my 5 month old infant son is sick with the flu. He has a fever and I am struggling to get him to drink fluids. I have been switching between Baby Tylenol and Advil for the fever. Advil seemed to produce better results in getting his fever to go down. I have also been giving Chase tepid bathes. Of the short five months of his life, Chase has been sick at least once each month with a cold or the flu. The doctor told me to give him Vitamin D drops because I can't breastfeed him but what I really want to know is why my son keeps getting sick and what I can do to prevent it.
